Both are certified under NSF/ANSI 58 for TDS and lead. The AquaTru Classic's IAPMO R&T listing adds fluoride, arsenic (pentavalent, 50 ppb or less), nitrate/nitrite, perchlorate and more; the Bluevua RO100ROPOT-Lite's WQA listing adds cadmium, trivalent chromium. The AquaTru rates its filters in gallons as well as months; Bluevua gives months only.

Filters: months or gallons
AquaTru rates each filter in months and gallons and says to change it at whichever comes first, so heavy use shortens the schedule: at 5 gallons a day the 600-gallon pre-filter lasts about four months, not six. Bluevua's manual gives 12 months and a filter-life indicator but no gallon rating, so its count here uses time only and is shown as "at least".
Efficiency, recovery and the drain tank
Under NSF/ANSI 58, efficiency is the share of all the water going in that comes out as treated water; recovery is the same share measured at the membrane only, so it reads higher. AquaTru's data sheet gives 75% efficiency and 80% recovery. Bluevua states a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio: 3 parts filtered to 1 part drain, which is 75% of the water poured in. At 75%, one gallon of filtered water takes about 1.33 gallons of tap water. No water or energy cost is estimated here.
