For the broadest certified claim set, the AquaTru Classic: IAPMO R&T lists it under NSF/ANSI 58 for TDS, lead, fluoride, arsenic and more. The Bluevua RO100ROPOT-Lite is also certified for lead: WQA lists it under NSF/ANSI 58 for TDS, lead, cadmium and trivalent chromium. The Waterdrop M6SL is certified for TDS only. Checked 2026-09-25 in the certifiers' own listings, model by model.
How to read the claims: a certified claim is one the certifier's own NSF/ANSI 58 listing names for that exact model. A stated or lab-tested claim comes from the maker or a lab report and is not a certification. Unknown means no source we read states it.

What each certificate actually covers
- AquaTru Classic: IAPMO R&T certificate W-10194, NSF/ANSI 58-2022, models AT2000, AT2010, AT2020, AT2030, AT2040, AT2050. Certified to reduce TDS, lead, fluoride, arsenic (pentavalent, 50 ppb or less), nitrate/nitrite, perchlorate, barium, chromium, copper, radium 226/228, selenium, cysts. The Amazon listing gives the model name AquaTru Classic (model number AQT Classic) and part number AT2000, which is on IAPMO certificate W-10194. The listing's figure of 84 contaminants, and its PFAS and microplastics wording, come from AquaTru's performance data sheet across several standards and protocols; this page lists only the NSF/ANSI 58 reduction claims on the certificate.
- Bluevua RO100ROPOT-Lite: WQA Gold Seal listing, Bluevua Inc., NSF/ANSI 58. Certified to reduce TDS, lead, cadmium, trivalent chromium. The listing title names the RO100ROPOT-Lite, the model on WQA's listing. WQA does not list the plain RO100ROPOT, so nothing here applies to it. The listing's PFOA, PFOS, fluoride and arsenic claims are from a lab test (SGS), not WQA's NSF/ANSI 58 listing.
- Waterdrop M6SL: IAPMO R&T certificate W-17249, NSF/ANSI 58-2024. Certified to reduce TDS only. The listing's title says it reduces PFAS; the NSF/ANSI 58 certificate lists TDS reduction only.
A standard number is not a list of contaminants. NSF/ANSI 58 is the reverse-osmosis standard, and each listing names the reductions it covers for that model: the Waterdrop and the AquaTru both carry "NSF/ANSI 58", and only one of them is certified for lead. A listing under NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 covers the lead content of the product's materials, not what it removes from water.
Popular countertop RO systems with no certification found
- DREO countertop RO (the best-selling countertop RO on Amazon on 2026-09-25): no NSF, IAPMO R&T or WQA listing was found for DREO.
- Bluevua RO100ROPOT (the non-Lite model): WQA lists the -Lite, -Lite(UV), -Travel and -YMT models, not the plain RO100ROPOT.
- Waterdrop C2SL: IAPMO R&T lists it only under NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 (lead content of materials), with no NSF/ANSI 58 reduction claim.
- SimPure Y7P: no NSF, IAPMO R&T or WQA listing was found.
- AquaTru glass carafe models (AT100 series): certified on the same IAPMO certificate at 35 gpd with a different filter set; left for a later page.
Searched on 2026-09-25: NSF's drinking-water listings, IAPMO R&T's product listing directory and WQA's Gold Seal listings. A system missing from all three may still have been sent to a lab; a lab report is not a certification.
Countertop RO vs under-sink, and vs a pitcher
A countertop RO system sits on the counter and is filled by hand: nothing is plumbed. Under-sink RO systems are outside this page. Compared with a pitcher filter, an RO system can hold certified claims a pitcher cannot, such as fluoride and TDS, but costs more to buy and sends part of the water to a drain tank.
